The Trendy Guide to Los Angeles Food

The best and coolest places to get food is Los Angeles and New York. A few weeks ago I went to LA and I was so excited to try out some Los Angeles food that I had been seeing on Instagram and from other bloggers over the past year!

California Donuts: Of course, whenever you are in California you have to go to California Donuts. While I was there, they were selling Panda Leia donuts which were adorable! Also, to my surprise they had CRONUTS (croissant donuts) that are impossible to get in New York at Dominique Ansel Bakery. I’m pretty sure you have to get there at 8 o’clock in the morning and they always sell out. Anyway, the donuts are super cute and taste delicious!

Alfred’s Tea Room: Although technically this is a place for drinks, I had to include it. Alfred’s Tea Room is a spinoff of Alfred’s coffee and it is right around the corner from its Melrose location. Everything inside and out was pink! Great for the Instagram feed and for the tongue. I got a matcha bubble tea but they sell all kinds of normal and bubble teas.

Malibu Farm: If you’re in Malibu, Malibu Farm is unavoidable. You can read more about it here on my post all about my day in Malibu.

Sunlife Organics: While in the Malibu Country Mart, I realized that so many people were going to Sunlife! Obviously, I had to go and try an açaí bowl from there and it was one of the best I have ever had.

Joan’s On Third: This restaurant is pretty well known and is known for being on some popular food shows. It is kind of cafeteria like in which you go up and order what you want and then you find seats. The southwest salad and my turkey sandwich was delicious.
